Staff:
- Members of the West team and other staff can be identified by their LED red arm bands, pink HI VIZ and lanyards.
- Security will also be posted at the ticket desk and inside the building for Friday events and certain Thursday exhibitions.
- We are here to help, please approach staff or security about any concerns or issues.
Accessibility:
- Antwerp Mansion is not wheel chair accessible and does not have a ramp to inside the building.
- Entering through the event entrance you will be met by a curb outside the gate. Further down the road there is a dipped curb to access the pavement.
- Upon entering the grounds to the ticket desk there is a dirt path which is fairly even.
- To access the mansion door you will cross the smoking shelter which is also a dirt ground, sometimes this large open space may have things going on such as live murals, a bouncy castle or workshops. To get through the door you will need to walk up four medium but wide steps with no railing.
- All of our doors are wide and can fit a standard wheel chair through.
- There is adequate lighting through the mansion. Depending on the layout of the events some rooms may have dimly lit lighting, colourful nightclub lighting, a strobe light and smoke machine.
- To access the first floor there is no elevator and a staircase with approximately 25 wide steps.
- There is a urinals that can be accessed through the Gig Room, a downstairs bathroom with 2 toilets, a sink and small bin within the cubical and another bathroom upstairs with a toilet, sink and small bin within the cubical. All bathrooms and toilets are gender neutral.
- We have no bar or food for sale during the event but drinks and food can be provided if there is a blood sugar emergency.
- If you require a car park for accessibility please contact us before an event to ensure a member of staff can give you access to the Mansions private car park and information on the accessibility as it is different to the description above.
- We do not have a cloak room but we can store wheelchairs etc in the private part of the mansion upon request.
- Please contact us directly for any accessibility requests or needs - we will do everything we can to help.
Anti-social behavior:
- Although the Mansion may give the appearance it is a free for all to spray paint and graffiti - this is banned in all rooms bar the bathroom walls only. If caught you will be held accountable for damage costs alongside being removed from the venue and barred from all future events. We have an absolute zero-tolerance policy on graffiti.
- Any other anti-social behavior such as drink and disorderly, fighting, assault, damage to property etc will not be tolerated, you will be removed from the event and barred from all future events.
- No drugs including no Nitrous Oxide - shouldn't have to say this but regardless!
Alcohol and drinks:
- We have a bring your own bevs policy - we have no bar.
- Please remember to bring your own cups or straws.
- Please ask at the Pink Room desk for water or refill your water bottles at any of the taps.
Under 18's:
- West Art Collective events are strictly 18+
- Please bring ID
Gallery:
- Our gallery opens at 17:00 and closes at 23:00, including all gallery rooms, shops, workshops and stalls.
Tickets:
- We don't operate a one in one out policy when tickets sell out.
- Tickets are available to purchase through Skiddle and on the door - even if an event sells out online a small amount will be available on the door so please come early to avoid disappointment.
- If the event sells out please do not argue with the staff to buy tickets - we don't care if you're 'mates with someone who knows a DJ' we have to stick to our capacity for health and safety.
- Refunds can only be arranged through our ticket selling platform Skiddle.
- Guest list tickets are emailed to those who are involved and will appear on your Skiddle app as a barcode to be scanned at the ticket desk
- If you are not on the guest list please don't argue with staff, they have to stick strictly to the names they are given on the guest list.
Afterparty:
- Afterparties will now be held at a second venue or not at all.
- Entry to the art exhibition will gain you entry to the second after party venue.
- You can buy tickets for the after party separately.
Toilets:
- Our toilets are for everyone.
- There are 5 toilets upstairs that will only be available from 17:00-23:00, the downstairs toilet and urinals in the Gig Room will remain open 17:00-04:00.
- Please do not ask to used the upstairs toilets past 23:00, this part of the Mansion is closed as we are handling and packing down artwork and cannot have the public in that area while doing so.
Dress code:
- We have no official dress code but we encourage dressing for the occasion for events such as Halloween or our kink events - you might even win a prize!
Artwork sales:
- As part of our Zero-Cost Exhibition Programme we do not take a commision from the artist if their work sells through us or as a result of one of our events.
- To purchase artwork please message us or contact the artist directly.
Other:
- Please be mindful of our neighbours and your noise levels when entering and leaving then venue.
- No shoes on the bouncy castle.
- No smoking inside.
- There is parking on the streets around the Mansion but please double check parking restrictions or fees if applicable.
